It’s a bit outside the norm of what we typically do, but we’re proud of our work with Base Tactical because it’s an example of the versatility and scalability of a platform that truly understands data. In the wake of 2012’s Hurricane Sandy, hospitals in New York and New Jersey that had incurred damage needed to remit and repair those damages quickly in order to continue operating.
BASE Tactical, a disaster recovery consulting firm, approached us about using our platform to work with a very different kind of data: photos, videos, and maps and blueprints.
Using advanced technology and our rapid development strategy, we were able deploy a virtual world for BASE Tactical within a matter of weeks:
3D maps traversed multiple floors inside the hospital buildings, including the ability to pan and zoom into specific hospital rooms with HD video.
The BOSS Logics platform leveraged geo-tags from the photography and video added to the platform to pinpoint specific locations within the hospitals that could then be displayed on the location maps.
